MDI Single Use Bottle Assemblies

MDI Single Use gamma sterilized bottle assemblies are suitable for the safe transfer, sampling, and storage of biopharmaceutical products and reagents. These Assemblies for inoculum transfer are gamma sterilized vented assemblies to transfer cell culture to bioreactors. These assemblies have been designed to provide a closed system to prevent extraneous contamination during inoculum transfer.

These assemblies are fitted with a self-supporting lightweight, sterilizing grade 0.2μm PVDF vent filter to prevent ingress of microorganisms during filling and removal of high-value products.

The unique bottle cap design allows easy opening without rotating the tubing and vent connections.

MDI Single Use Bottle Assemblies are available with 3 different materials of construction:

  • Single Use Assembly for Inoculum Transfer (Polycarbonate Bottle)
  • Single Use Assembly for Inoculum Transfer (LDPE Bottle)
  • Vented Bottle Assemblies (PETG Bottle)
  • Mixer Bottle Assemblies with PVDF Stirbar

Applications:

  • Storage and transfer of Cell culture media
  • Aseptic sampling
  • Sterile filling and transfer
  • Aseptic inoculum transfer to bioreactors

Customization:

MDI Vented Bottle assemblies can be customized to suit user requirements in terms of tubing, fittings, end connections, and connectors.

Aseptic disconnection made easy: BioCrimp E -Electric Crimping Tool

Aseptic connection and disconnection is a critical part of fluid management within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing process. Aseptic connections using sterile connectors are available with upto 3/4″ hose barb connectors allowing aseptic connections for sterile fluid transfer. However, disconnectors with only 1/2″ hose barb connector are available and their application in case of large size of tubing is unlikely and complex. Therefore, to ease the process of disconnection for large outer diameter (OD) tubing (upto 3/4″), large crimp pipe disconnectors have been designed. These, however, require much higher crimping power than is possible using manually operated crimping tool.

MDI BioCrimp E Electric Crimping tool is a unique solution designed for high volume crimping applications, enabling a reliable and leak proof disconnection for single use assemblies and sampling systems while assuring integrity and preventing any microbial ingress.

How to use:

Crimping Range:

Tubing IDTubing OD
1/4″1/2″
3/8″5/8″
1/2″3/4″

BioCrimp E tool is rotatable with 350˚ head rotation consisting a rechargeable 18V Li-Ion battery with battery capacity of 1.5 Ah. OLED display is present to provide information like press cycles, service interval, operating hours and battery status.
